CAFSO-WRAG’s main task is to challenge the structures and institutions that perpetuate poverty, hunger and preventable diseases, and campaign for the fulfillment of all socio-economic and human rights for sustainable human and ecological development. CAFSO-WRAG envisions a society free of injustice, human rights abuse, poverty, hunger and preventable diseases for sustainable human and environmental development. Our mission is to campaign for the fulfillment of rights, ecological protection and human development in all ramifications. In operational terms, our main activities focus on: *Research * Peace Education * Community Development * Migration * Inclusive and popular participation * Refugee Relief and Empowerment Programe * Gender Rights *SDGs
CAFSO-WRAG for Development is committed to contributing to efforts ending human trafficking and reducing all forms of violence against women, and promoting responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making in Nigeria. Our objectives include:
• To equip the skills of gender-focused CSOs on tackling all forms of violence and human trafficking in Nigeria so as to stem the menace.
• To organize sensitization programe on inclusive decision making and political positions in governance so as to give room for women, youth and persons with disability to participate in governance.
These two objectives are in line with SDG 16 targets 1, 2 and 7 and shall be accomplished within the next five years..
In the next five years, our organization is committed to supporting efforts geared at promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, providing access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels in Nigeria. Since Goal 16 of the SDGs is broad in terms of targets and activities, our organization shall focus on Targets 1, 2 and 7 which focus on reducing all forms of violence and related death rates, ending abuse, exploitation trafficking and all forms of violence against children and women, and ensuring responsive, inclusive decision-making at all levels.
