Mr. Paul Divakar – Rural Development Centre – June UN Post-2015 negotiations
Speech by Mr. Paul Divakar, Rural Development Centre; Transparency, Accountability & Participation (TAP) Network, during the Post-2015 Intergovernmental Negotiations on 24 June 2015. Mr. Paul Divakar is Indian living in India. The Co-Facilitators of the post-2015 process, H.E. Ambassador Macharia Kamau (Kenya) and H.E. Ambassador David Donoghue (Ireland), convened this 24 June interactive dialogue with Major Groups and other stakeholders to discuss the draft post-2015 development agenda outcome document. UN-NGLS and UN DESA Division for Sustainable Development co-facilitated an open and participatory process in partnership with a stakeholder steering committee to identify 27 speakers for this interactive dialogue with UN Member States. This process ensured regional and gender balance, diversity of expertise, constituencies and age among stakeholder speakers.
