Organization mission and work description:

Centa for Organisational Development GTE is a registered national non governmental, non-political, not for profit organization In Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2012. With Headquarters in Abuja, we maintain offices in Lagos, Enugu and Port Harcourt. Our programs are national and have impact on women in Nigeria as well as youths and persons with disabilities. We seek to redress the existing in- balances in women’s socio – economic, political and cultural rights through research, advocacy and trainings in education, Health, civic participation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria. Through these initiatives, the universal and inalienable rights of more women are protected and promoted. Our aim is to continue to work with the United Nations systems, structures and committees including the global community, International Development Partners, governments at all levels and the private sector in Nigeria to build a society where women and girls achieve their maximum potentials without discriminations by bringing global best practices to local challenges. Our purpose is to remain steadfast and committed to the promotion & protection of women’s human rights using advocacy, broad based enterprise and organizational development trainings and advancement of micro credit to lift women & girls out of poverty. We work for the Domestication of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and sustainable Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals especially goals 5, 6, 10 and 16.
