Organization mission and work description:

Consolation East Africa is a Kenyan NGO that was registered in the year 2011 to address gender-based aspects of human rights. It exists to promote and build the capacity of activities to counter human trafficking and gender-based violence among East African grassroots communities, building capacities of the civil society while working directly on gender-based issues. Its target beneficiaries are youths from the CCIs, commercial sex workers, trafficked women, women in the streets, former streets girls and other vulnerable women and girls.

CEA has been able to carry out a number of projects which are as follows: Building capacities of the Grassroots communities on Human Rights Based Approach, reflecting on the Kenyan Constitution 2010, conducting trainings and mentorships.

CEA's main mission is to contribute to social transformation while addressing Human Rights Violation, gender inequality and social exclusion of the vulnerable, most being women, children and girls.
