Summary of commitment:

ESEDO commitement is on promoting issues of the marginalized, indigenous and minority with the emphasis to disaster risk reduction, addressing food security, protection of biodiversity, fighting climate change, environmental conservation, integration of gender equality, respect to human, land rights. And reaffirming existing commitments to sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda.

Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:

ESEDO has emerged and proven itself as a professional platform committed to improving the livelihoods and supporting local action in adaptation particularly where vulnerabilities are highest and where the need for safety and resilience is greatest among indigenous communities in Kenya. The organization prioritizes capacity development and trainings as empowerment approach to achieving sustainable Development Goals agenda 2030 and mainstreaming sustainable development across sectors of democracy, human rights, justice, gender governance and climate change.

Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:

By entrenching public participation, access to justice and strengthening community voices helps through civic education helps community engagement with county and national governments programs. Therefore, the community will be able to monitor, hold account and report government status on implementations of SDG+16 through voluntary mechanisms. It will eventually promote the spirit of transparency, accountability on governance and participation in decision making process whih relates to TAP's work.
