Greenspring Development Initiative is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) established to further the well-being and sustainable development of women, children, youth and people with disabilities. We are registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) We operate in Lagos and Delta States in collaboration with Government, Public and Private Sectors, Non-Governmental Organisations, Development Partners together with Citizens towards the enhancement of the dignity of citizens. Our commitment is to build inclusive and effective institutions. Our objective is to spotlight issues on corruption, gender-based violence, especially against women and girls. Enlighten grass-root civil society organisations to access justice. Continuous training for CSOs in each senatorial districts to strengthen good governance. Time line: Monthly

Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:

Greenspring Development Initiative are: a. To empower women, children and youth in educational development; b. Advocate for the integration of people with disabilities into the Society; s c. Sensitize women, children and youth on the prevention and scourge of HIV/AIDS in the society; d. Conduct research in selected aspects of socio-health and human rights problems that confront women, children, youth e. Carry out massive public education to encourage and promote basic education for the Nigerian child, especially the girl child education. With our mission of enhancing the dignity of persons through sustainable development, our work is centered on educational empowerment; societal integration of PWDs; HIV/AIDS sensitisation and research on issues geared towards the implementation of the SDGs by strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations. We empower grassroot stakeholders to hold office holders accountable through advocacy and provision of tools for engagement. In our engagement with Stakeholders we propose to: a. Collaborate and partner with Nigerian Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development CSCSD (working on the SDGs and a member of TAP) to implement Goal 16 of the SDGs b. Capacity Building c. Strengthen and mobilise CSOs to build strong institutions through engagement with Government and Legislators

Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:

We belong to Nigerian Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development CSCSD (working on the SDGs and a member of TAP) to implement Goal 16 of the SDGs and Agenda 2030. Our Founder and Executive Director is a Board member of CSCSD who contributes to policy formulation and administration through training, development and strategic planning to ensure strengthening the capacity of members to engage the SDGs. We also engage in membership mobilisation.
