Current Commitment to SDG16+
Summary of commitment:
We recognize that the SDGs provides an important opportunity - f used well - to strengthen the rule of law at the national and international levels and encourage the establishment of fair, effective, and inclusive institutions in the Framework of SDG 16+. That's why we are committed to the implementation of SDG16+ as outlined in our strategic plan 2021-2023 which includes the following actions: - Implement effective capacity building for youth and organizations led by young people on human rights, justice, and community organization. - Promote networking and build contacts among and with other interested youth-led organizations at the local, regional and international levels.
Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:
as Justice Call we believe that the rule of law and respect for human rights are the only way to reach free democratic societies in which everyone has human dignity on an equal basis with others. This will ultimately ensure the elimination of all forms of violence, discrimination, racism and on the other hand, contribute to a positive and sustainable peace. We believe that the road to these goals requires the concerted collective efforts of initiatives, movements and related entities to work extensively and jointly to spread and establish respect for human rights, the values of justice and the rule of law. So our Theory of Change is: If we develop and strengthen the capabilities of young people and organizations led by young people to bring about change through capacity building, networking and legal protection programs, it will enhance the ability of these groups to survive as well as their impact on decision makers and governments. In particular, the youth will be less likely to resort to violent extremism as they will be able to express their voices and opinions in order to bring the change that they seek in a peaceful manner. We work to mace the change through three focus ares: - Capacity Building: We will continue to provide unique capacity building programs for lawyers, legal researchers, academics and students that help them understand and use the human rights, justice and peacebuilding systems in their work, including improving their organizational capabilities to advocate for human rights issues. - Advocacy and Protection: We will continue to provide a wide range of consulting services covering various aspects related to regulation and the work of civil society organizations in Egypt. The organization focuses on supporting emerging initiatives and organizations by providing legal advice and services, and consultations related to maintaining digital and personal safety for those involved in the public domain in Egypt. - Networking and exchange of experiences and practices: We believe in the importance of networking and building partnerships to enhance the work of civil society organizations, and therefore we will continue to work with a wide network of local, regional and international organizations to maximize the impact of our work on promoting respect and the rule of law and human rights.
Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:
We share the same vision with TAP network - to promote peace, justice, and inclusive societies. we do that through localization of SDG16+ This is done by enabling young people and the organizations led by young people to drive sustainable change towards a peaceful, effective society. We do this by working on the empowerment of their organization
