Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:

MYF's work aligns with the TAP Network's efforts on Sustainable Development Goal and Agenda 2030 in several ways: 1- Quality Education (SDG4): (No One Behind) is one of the most effective and remarkable projects that was dedicated to building capacity and empowerment. The project aims to build the capacities of young individuals aged 18 to 29 from Euro-Mediterranean countries with less access to opportunities and who face social, geographical, and economic obstacles. It focuses on enhancing their social, life, and professional skills. 2- Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (SDG 5): A clear example for our work in this cluster is The Mediterranean Women Ship (MWS) project. The project aimed to raise awareness of women’s challenges in the Mediterranean countries. Strengthening the role of young men and women in combating gender based violence. Empowering girls and women in the Mediterranean region, especially their social empowerment. Launching awareness campaigns as well as supporting and gaining support to combat hate speech directed against Mediterranean girls and women and teaching participants how to deal with it. 3- Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG6): We have worked in this cluster in the Mediterranean Initiative for Climate that included awareness campaigns on social media, where successful international, regional, and local stories and experiences are shared, along with the launch of pro-environmental hashtags, knowledge and information competitions, opening the door for participation to submit scientific and informative articles on climate change and clean water and sanitation. 4- Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10): Youth Mobility Programs to help youth move across borders (Mediterranean Youth Volunteers. This program helps youth to enhance the values of pluralism and acceptance of others, and also fosters the development of their leadership and personal skills. 5- Climate action (SDG 13): Mediterranean Initiative for Climate (MIC) is the first Egyptian initiative with a Mediterranean focus that addresses raising awareness and environmental education about the issue of climate change through a non-formal education approach in all of its activities aiming to raise awareness and education about climate change and building the capacities of young men and women in the field of climate change, qualifying young men and women in the environmental field scientifically and practically, launching initiatives that consider green and blue economies, gender, and working on building innovative solutions and recommendations for decision-makers. It includes workshops on climate change in the fields of (building community initiatives - building support and advocacy campaigns - awareness workshops on the issue of climate change). 6- Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16): Dialogue on The Human Fraternity Document is a winning project with the support of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue in Lisbon within the framework of the work program of the Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation between Diverse Religious Leaders and Institutions in the Arab World ‘Interreligious Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation’, which aims to enhance dialogue and peaceful coexistence. This is the first youth project that provides a direct opportunity to conduct the first dialogue on the Document on Human Fraternity as the most important document in the modern era that calls upon all humans to prioritize the common humanity and human fraternity over any other considerations. 7- Partnerships for the goals (SDG17): MYF has more than 25 partners till now (locally, regionally, globally) working together to achieve our mutual objectives and goals. In addition, MYF can contribute to TAP Network work in the following: Raising Awareness and Building Capacity to keep pace with development and face global challenges.
