Current Commitment to SDG16+

Summary of commitment:

NFN will continue localization of SDGs; national and local review of SDGs, building awareness and capacity of the civil society and local governments on SDGs, national and international advocacy and engagement in the agenda that a common concern to civil society.

Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:

The objectives are to: lead and play the role of vibrant and effective CSO platform in Nepal and contribute to the achievement of SDGs by making sure that leaving no behind is realized. This will be done through awareness building; information, communication and knowledge management; capacity building of CSOs, NGOs and local governments; strengthening partnership by emphasizing CSO roles; publication of review reports from CSO perspective; advocacy and campaigning; and engagement at the national, regional and international platforms.

Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:

Among the SDGs and related targets, NFN basically focuses on SDG 16+ and transparency and accountability for the same. We have been regularly involved with TAP Network to support, learn and advance the agenda at the national level.

Reports on Organization's Past Commitments

NFN has been mobilizing Nepal SDGs Forum, a national open platform of CSOs working on SDGs, from national to the subnational level. Preparation of voluntary national report from civil society perspective has continued every year.
