Summary of commitment:

The Peter Obi Action Network (POAN) commits to advancing SDG16+ and accountability for the 2030 Agenda. Key objectives include: ✔️ Promoting peaceful and credible elections through voter education and election observation. ✔️ Strengthening institutional accountability through advocacy and capacity building. ✔️ Empowering marginalized communities through community engagement and inclusive policy development. POAN will uphold Universal Declaration of Human Rights principles, embody SDG16 and 2030 Agenda targets, and work collaboratively with TAP Network Partners. Progress will be monitored through quarterly reports and stakeholder engagement. POAN aims to create a more transparent, accountable, and inclusive society in Nigeria.

The Peter Obi Action Network (POAN) is committed to advancing SDG16+ and accountability for the 2030 Agenda. POAN's priorities and work focus on promoting peaceful and credible elections, strengthening institutional accountability, and empowering marginalized communities in Nigeria. Priority 1: Promoting Peaceful and Credible Elections POAN will: 1. Conduct voter education campaigns to enhance citizen participation. 2. Train election observers to ensure transparency and accountability. 3. Collaborate with INEC to improve electoral processes. 4. Establish an election conflict resolution mechanism. Priority 2: Strengthening Institutional Accountability POAN will: 1. Conduct advocacy campaigns targeting key institutions. 2. Train public officials on transparency and accountability. 3. Establish a whistleblower protection mechanism. 4. Monitor and report on institutional transparency and accountability. Priority 3: Empowering Marginalized Communities POAN will: 1. Conduct community engagement forums to enhance participation. 2. Establish community-led advocacy groups. 3. Collaborate with government agencies to develop inclusive policies. 4. POAN trained twelve thousand POAN adhoc staff that helped champion that course through grassroot sensitization, mobilization, and voter education. 2. Strengthening institutional accountability (SDG16.5, 16.6). 3. Empowering marginalized communities (SDG16.6, 10.2) Contribution to TAP Network's Work POAN will contribute to TAP Network's work in the following areas: 1. Advocacy and Campaigns - Support TAP's global campaigns on SDG16+ and accountability - Conduct national-level advocacy campaigns aligned with TAP's global objectives - Collaborate with TAP members to amplify advocacy efforts 2.
