Summary of commitment:
Strengthening VINACEF institution capacity for improved access to SRHR/HIV health friendly services among the LGBT community and Sex workers among the key populations in the 4 districts of Kampala, Wakiso, Hoima and Mitiyana in Uganda.
Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:
Objectives To increase the advocacy capacity of VINACEF to demand accountability from government on national LGBT community and Sex workers among the key populations commitments in access to their SRHR/HIV health friendly services by the end of 2026. To increase the capacity of VINACEF to ably identify, assess and review the legal, policy and structural barriers that impede equitable access to SRHR/HIV quality LGBTQ community and Sex workers health friendly services by the end of 2026. To strengthen the social support and health systems to facilitate greater access to LGBT community and Sex workers SRHR/HIV health friendly services by 2026 To increase VINACEF participation and representation of the LGBT Community and Sex workers and other key populations in the governance structures that influence health systems and SRHR/HIV health friendly services by the end of 2026 To strengthen the capacity of VINACEF to successfully secure and manage diversified funding for effective advocacy by the end of 2026; OUTCOMES Increased capacity of VINACEFUganda in advocacy for KPs unmet friendly services Improved responsiveness of policy makers both at the district and national with a changed attitude towards inclusive planning and programming for KPs friendly services Improved decisiveness for KPs to seek care Increased proportion of KPs who are now able to advocate for their unmet friendly services at all levels Reduction in stigma and discrimination for KPs during access to their friendly services
