MISSION: Through organizing and movement-building, we foster a positive culture around abortion, strengthen people power, and fight for reproductive justice in and with our communities. VISION: We dream of a reality where everyone has the agency, power, and resources to thrive in their communities. We envision a world where the full range of reproductive decisions are affirmed and accessible, people have the dignity of thriving wages, and we can all build and care for our families free from state-sanctioned violence or separation. In this world, all people have access to comprehensive healthcare including abortion and the opportunity to have a fulfilling sex life without shame or stigma.

Current Commitment to SDG16+

Summary of commitment:

Capacity Building Trainings and Advocacy in achieving SDG16 and the 2030 Agenda

Organization's priorities and work in relation to commitment:

The team perceived that people in many villages in their region have no knowledge of the existence of the Termination of Pregnancy Act and the service provision of safe abortion at the main medical facility. This work will be reaching out to women and girls who have for decades been marginalized simply because of location and so always thought abortion was a taboo and a curse. Key activities: Develop refresher workshops for the team that will facilitate the activities. Develop training for traditional birth attendants who are also first respondents to unsafe abortion cases within the villages. Community dialogue (focus groups) to help us identify and train the untrained traditional birth attendants, who are usually the family grandmothers, on abortion stigma. Door-to-door, one-to-one activities will help us see the impact of the project.

Organization's work related to TAP network's SGD16+ work & accountability for 2030 Agenda:

Our work is related to achieving good health for all women by 2030 and the reduction of maternity and mortality rate
