Partnerships
The TAP Network actively coordinates efforts for collaboration with the broader civil society community working towards SDG16+ implementation and/or advancing accountability for Agenda 2030. Through these efforts, we have fostered broad, multi-stakeholder partnerships and initiatives to advance key priority areas.
Rome Civil Society Declaration on SDG16+
āAmplified Commitments and Partnerships for Accelerated Action: Rome Civil Society Declaration on SDG16+ā (Rome Declaration) outlines key messages, recommendations, and a broad call-to-action around SDG16+. This Declaration is envisioned to directly feed into the outcomes of the Rome SDG16 Conference, and will be the central focus of our advocacy to encourage accelerated action on SDG16 at the 2019 HLPF in July and the SDGs Summit in September.
SDG 16 Data Initaitve
The SDG16 Data Initiative is a collective project by a consortium of organisations seeking to support the open tracking of the global commitments made by more than 194 countries on peace, justice, and strong institutions.
Global Alliance for Reporting on Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies
The TAP Network is a partner of the Global Alliance. The Alliance uses the reporting framework of the 2030 Agenda as a āhookā for the evidence-based and multi-stakeholder action needed to achieve the SDGs. Through an inclusive planning, monitoring and reporting process, government, businesses, CSOs and UN entities pool their data, technology, expertise and other resourcesāenabling the evidence-based policy and joint action we need for the future we want.
TAP Partners Commitment Platform
TAP Network āPartnersā are organizations that take part in the substantive work of the TAP Network, and make explicit commitments to implementing SDG16 or towards accountability for the 2030 Agenda.
Campaign for a Decade of Accountability
The Campaign for a Decade of Accountability for the SDGs is a multi-stakeholder partnership mobilizing accountability actors from a wide range of sectors to support accountability for the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. The Campaign will look to bolster concerted action and amplify efforts to hold duty bearers to account for their commitments to sustainable development in a coordinated manner.
Voices of SDG16+
Voices of SDG16+: Stories of Global Action is a collaborative campaign to bring the work of civil society on SDG16+ to the 2019 HLPF and, again for its second iteration, at the 2020 HLPF. Individuals and partners from around the world will have the opportunity to submit short videos telling their āstoriesā of best practices and extraordinary efforts being undertaken towards SDG16+ at the national and local levels
